It's Seth's Big Day!

Unfortunately, the game park trip is not happening today.  I came down with flu symptoms last night, so BJ thought it best that we go another day when we can all enjoy it.  We will try again on Friday.  It just means that Seth gets two days off from school instead of one!

Saturday evening, we had an Oovoo birthday party with BJ's parents.  Aren't Oovoo and Skype such a blessing for missionaries?  Seth got a new bathrobe from Mawmaw and Pawpaw.  It is so soft and warm with lots of room to grow.

And from BJ's sister and brother-in-law, he got this incredibly soft Thomas the Tank Engine blanket. 

He carries it around with him throughout the day just in case he needs it upstairs or downstairs.  And when it is downstairs, I must admit that I've curled up under it in the recliner a time or two.  So cozy!  It also came with a matching sheet set for his bed.

Then we had our own family party for Seth this morning, and there was leftover cake to celebrate!  Today is Seth's big day.  I took more birthday pictures for our families.

Holds his tongue just like Grandpa!

 

He got another Patch the Pirate CD and a basket of marbles.  Every boy loves marbles, and he's listened to his other Patch the Pirate CD so much that we all have it memorized!  HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Seth Joseph!
