"Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee." Isaiah 49:15
This verse has been on my mind lately. How much I love my little girl! Yet how much more does God love us! The love of God is greater far . . .

What a very, very fortunate little girl to have a Mommy love on her like you do! Keep it up, sweet, tired Mommy! It is worth it!
Jessi,
What a precious, beautiful picture!
Jessi, I'm enjoying reading your posts very much! The Lord, Keep Me Sweet post was convicting to me, and encouraging was the Bible reading post. So glad for you that you could read the Bible yesterday before Brina woke up. Please don't be too hard on yourself, though. It is a huge transition after a baby's birth. I wish I could do something tangible to help, but will pray you have a good day and can get some rest tonight! I remember how difficult those early days are, and I had other family members present to help. Also, perhaps this might encourage you. I spoke to a mom who raised 5 children before my second was born, and she told me that the transition after her 2nd-born child was harder than when any of her other babies were born. Learning to multi-task and have 2 to care for at once was the most challenging, and the other babies were easier transitions for her. Enjoy caring for your beautiful baby, your sweet little boy and your husband, and don't fret if the housework gets a bit behind, dinner is a little later than normal or school is started again maybe a little later than you plan. It is okay if any of that happens. You are doing a wonderful job taking care of your family. I'm so happy for you. Hope you are able to get some rest tonight!
With Love,
Melanie Rhinehart
(PS- Hope none of this comes across as pushy advice. As a mommy just want you to know I understand, and surely any mom reading this does, how exhausting it all is, though wonderful, as you care for your newborn. :)
Precious picture!!!
Awesome thought and truth!
I love the picture and I really agree with all of the comments tonight.
When people see us with 8 and ask "how do you do it?!" My husband always says, "1 took all of our time, two took all of our time...8 take all of our time." Anotherward, we never forgot those early days with just two or three.
The days will be busy. Just do what you can to keep lovin on your babies. Do you have hired help? That can be a real blessing.
Melanie, thanks so much for your comment. No, I don't take it as pushy advice. Your comment has really helped me this past week to go easy on myself. I am feeling so much better now, pretty much back to normal. That is such a blessing!
Missionary Momma, I do have a lady now that's been coming to help me, mostly with sweeping and mopping my big house a couple of times a week. Nakuru is semi-desert during the dry season and extremely dusty. Toward the end of my pregnancy, I could not keep up with it, and she has been a great blessing to me.
